Looking for Disciple-Making Training in Nashville? Here's What to Expect
By MTC Nashville Team

Maybe you have felt it too — that quiet pull to stop just attending and start actually doing. You want to make disciples. You want to share the gospel without your heart pounding. You suspect Jesus meant more by "follow me" than Sunday mornings.
But between that desire and actually doing it, there is usually a gap called "I don't know how."
That gap is exactly why MTC Nashville exists. If you have been looking for disciple-making training in Nashville, here is who we are, how our training works, and what is coming up next.
Next training: November 20–21, 2026. A free, hands-on Disciple Making Training comes to Priest Lake Christian Fellowship in Antioch — Friday 6pm through Saturday 4pm. Register free, and read what to expect at the November training.
What Is MTC Nashville?
MTC Nashville is a missionary training center based in Nashville, Tennessee. Our mission is simple: train disciple makers and church planters — for Nashville and for the nations.
We equip ordinary believers with the same simple, biblical, reproducible tools that are fueling disciple-making movements around the world. Nothing we teach requires a seminary degree, a ministry title, or a stage. It requires a willing heart — and we will help you grow the rest.
Our conviction comes straight from Scripture: Jesus' plan for reaching the world was never professionals. It was ordinary people, empowered by His Spirit, making disciples who make disciples. The Ephesians 4 job description of leaders is to equip the saints for the work of ministry — and that equipping is our entire job description.
Whether you are a new believer, a seasoned church member, a small group leader, a pastor, or someone simply hungry to be used by God, there is a seat for you.
What Our Training Looks Like
We are often asked what actually happens in our training. Three words describe the format: biblical, hands-on, and reproducible.
Biblical. Everything we teach is drawn straight from Scripture and the pattern of Jesus. Why did He invest deeply in a few? How did the early church multiply? What did Paul actually tell Timothy to do? We start with the Word, not with trends.
Hands-on. You will not just hear about disciple making — you will practice it, in the room and out of it. Our trainings include live practice in:
- Leading a Discovery Bible Study (our beginner's guide covers the method)
- Sharing the gospel simply and naturally
- Telling your three-minute testimony
- Starting spiritual conversations in everyday settings
- Practicing the rhythms of a 3/3rds group (check-in, Bible discovery, obedience, and going out together)
- Using simple discipleship tools — like the Four Fields framework — that you can pass on to anyone
We practice in pairs and small groups, because muscle memory beats lecture notes. Expect a little holy awkwardness — it is part of learning.
Reproducible. If it cannot be simplified and passed on, we don't teach it. Every tool you learn at MTC Nashville is designed so that you could teach it to someone else the same week. That is how addition becomes multiplication — and it is why our graduates leave as trainers, not just students.
