A New Home Base: The MTC Nashville Website Is Live

Some seasons carry so much good news that it can hardly wait for a letter.

This is one of those seasons.

The MTC Nashville Website Is Live

Today we're happy to share that the new MTC Nashville website is officially live. It's the online home of our Missionary Training Center here in Nashville, TN — a place to learn about our vision, meet our team, and explore what hands-on missionary training actually looks like.

And this blog — Field Notes — lives there too. In the weeks ahead, we'll use this space to share what we're learning as we train disciple makers and church planters: stories from the dinner table, lessons from the neighborhood, and glimpses of what God is doing among the nations He has gathered in this city.

If someone comes to mind who might love what's happening here — a friend sensing a call to missions, a small group hungry for disciple-making tools — would you send them our way?

The House Is Filling Up

Here's the news that makes us smile the most: God is filling the house.

Right now, two interns are living here at MTC Nashville — learning, serving, and doing everyday life right alongside our family. On October 1, two more move in. And one more friend from right here in Nashville is joining us for the residency program.

That means dinner tables are getting fuller, conversations are getting richer, and discipleship is happening the way Jesus did it — life on life, in the ordinary rhythms of a home.

There's nothing like watching young people say yes to Jesus and let their ordinary days become extraordinary ministry. We'd love for you to pray for them as they settle in — and for us as we lead this growing household.

Come Train With Us

If any of this stirs something in you, we have two invitations for this season.

1. Disciple Making Training — November 2026

If you're near Nashville, join us for our Disciple Making Training this November. It's a hands-on, biblical training in how to make disciples who make disciples — no seminary degree required, just a willingness to learn and obey. Whether you want to grow in sharing your faith, leading a simple church, or planting churches in your own context, this training is a great next step.

2. Residency Program — Beginning January 11, 2027

Our next residency semester begins January 11. The residency is an immersive missionary training experience built around two 16-week semesters of biblical instruction, practical ministry, mentoring, and outreach among the nations — preparing ordinary believers for gospel work in Nashville and among unreached peoples around the world.

If you sense God nudging you toward missions, church planting, or a deeper life of disciple-making right where you are, we would genuinely love to meet you.
